The bus route currently finishes on Aidanfield Drive. It will now be extended to travel down Skyhawk Road and Corsair Drive to end and begin all its trips right outside ‘The Landing’ retail centre. This extension will provide Wigram Skies residents with a bus service to Barrington, Christchurch Hospital, the Bus Interchange in the central city, The Palms Shopping Centre and Southshore.
New timetable
The extension means there will be a new timetable operating from Monday 27 June. It is essentially the same, except we’ve added the new arrival and departure times from Wigram. You can view the new timetable here or pick up a copy at the Bus Interchange or at New World at The Landing.
Bus stops in Wigram
When the route starts there will be only one new stop in place at ‘The Landing’ where buses will arrive and depart from. However, during the next few months the Christchurch City Council will be consulting with property owners on the placement of further bus stops along Skyhawk Road.
