In 1928, Wigram captured the imagination of the nation when Charles Kingsford-Smith made the first Trans-Tasman flight from Sydney to Christchurch.
The 60 bus service is about to be extended into Wigram Skies to offer a direct link into the central city for more residents in Wigram from June 27. This extension was planned after public feedback on the 2014 bus consultation. Metro has also received an increasing number of requests over the past few months for this service to begin operating.
The planned Medical Centre at Wigram Skies is about to get under way with building consent issued and on site works starting later in August.
